Man driving down a road. His radio has a lot of static. He is complaining about his radio and looking down at it.
Man
(Damn or Stupid) radio! I'm so sick of this everyday! My life sucks everyday! I just wish I could die.
He hears screeching tires and looks up. You hear a crash as it additive dissolves to an all white area.
He sits up seemingly out of a cloud.
Man
Where am I? (Looks left then right)
A loud booming voice answers. "Joeseph Micheal Rueban you have reached your judgement. You life on earth has ended."
Joe
Oh really and I guess this is heaven. All white and bright, filled with goodness.
Voice
You are in judgement. You have not yet been allowed to reach heaven. Let us see if your life on earth was worthy of joining us in heaven.
A tv turns on to his left. It has Joe stealing as a kid. It has Joe fighting. It has Joe drinking alcohol. It has Joe stealing pens from work. Cut to close up of Joe
Joe
How can you show things like that? I did good stuff. I went to church, I helped out my grandmother.
Tv goes to static and a pastor stands before the congregation.
Pastor
It is a great joy to give unto our Lord. For he created all we see and own. (bowing his head) Let us bow our heads. Father we come to you today with a giving heart and spirit. Father we come and give unto you. Please bless us as we give and may we enhance your kingdom with each portion given. In Jesus name. Amen.
then a shot of Joe sleeping in church and putting paperclips into the collection plate. Joe taking money out of his grandmothers purse. Joe and others washing a car at his church.
Joe
See I did good stuff.
Voice
You cannot get into heaven on your works alone. You have sinned against God.
Joe
Who hasn't? Nobody is perfect.
A statue of Jesus is behind him. Joe Jesus!(scared) Ok one person. He looks at the statue.
Joe
How does anyone make it to heaven then? (Softer and quieter)
Voice
By asking Jesus to forgive their sins and confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.
Joe
Jesus! (On his knees) Forgive me. Please forgive me. Lord Forgive me. (Crying) Lord please. Close up of Jesus looking down at Joe.
Voice
Do you believe?
Joe
Yes Jesus I believe.
Voice
Then you are forgiven by your faith in the Son of God who was crucified for all mankind to know the love of God.
Flashes white and a police officer is shaking Joe a cut on his head and his head on the steering wheel.
Officer
Son, Son are you ok?
Joe turns his head to see the officer.
Joe
I think so. Am I in heaven?
Officer
No you're in Cincinnati and you were just in a car accident.
Joe
Then I'm alive.
Officer
Yeah someone up there must be looking out for you.
Joe
(Whispers) Thank you Jesus. Fade to black.
